Diaspora Scholarship 2026-27: NRI बच्चों को ₹3 लाख तक, 31 मार्च Last Date!
Ministry of External Affairs ने Indian Diaspora के बच्चों के लिए Scholarship Programme for Diaspora Children (SPDC) 2026-27 की घोषणा कर दी है। इस Scheme के तहत NRI, PIO, और OCI के बच्चों को India में पढ़ाई के लिए हर साल ₹2 लाख से ₹3 लाख तक की Scholarship मिलेगी।
ये Scholarship Programme 2006-07 से चल रहा है और अब तक हजारों Diaspora Students को फायदा मिल चुका है। India Culture Portal पर Applications शुरू हो चुकी हैं और Last Date 31 मार्च 2026 है।
कितनी मिलेगी Scholarship Amount?
SPDC Scheme में दो Categories हैं – Undergraduate और Postgraduate। दोनों के लिए अलग-अलग Amount दी जाती है।
Undergraduate (BA/BSc/BCom/BTech/MBBS) Students को हर साल ₹2 लाख मिलेंगे। ये Amount Tuition Fees, Admission Fees, और Post-Admission Charges Cover करती है। 4 साल के Course के लिए Total ₹8 लाख तक मिल सकते हैं।
Postgraduate (MA/MSc/MCom/MTech/MBA) Students को हर साल ₹3 लाख मिलेंगे। 2 साल के Course के लिए Total ₹6 लाख मिलेंगे। Medical PG Students को भी ₹3 लाख सालाना मिलेगा।
Dollar में भी Calculate कर सकते हैं
जो Students Foreign Countries में रहते हैं, उनके लिए Amount Dollar में भी बताई गई है। UG Students को $4,000 per year और PG Students को $6,000 per year मिलेगा।
Current Exchange Rate के हिसाब से ये Amount Indian Rupees में Convert होकर Students के Account में आएगी। Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) के through पैसे मिलेंगे।
कौन Apply कर सकता है?
इस Scholarship के लिए तीन Categories के Students Eligible हैं:
Non-Resident Indians (NRI) – जो Indian Citizens हैं लेकिन Foreign Countries में रहते हैं। Persons of Indian Origin (PIO) – जिनके Parents या Grandparents India से हैं। Overseas Citizens of India (OCI) – जिन्हें OCI Card मिला हुआ है।
सबसे Important Condition ये है कि Student की Family Income एक Limit से कम होनी चाहिए। NRI, PIO, और OCI के लिए Monthly Income $5,000 (लगभग ₹4.2 लाख) से कम होनी चाहिए।
Emigration Check Required (ECR) Workers के बच्चों के लिए Income Limit $3,000 (लगभग ₹2.5 लाख) per month है। ECR Workers वो होते हैं जो Gulf Countries में Labour Work करते हैं।
Academic Eligibility क्या है?
UG Courses के लिए Student ने Class 12 में कम से कम 60% Marks लाए हों। PG Courses के लिए Graduation में 60% Marks जरूरी हैं। Medical Courses (MBBS/BDS) के Students भी Apply कर सकते हैं।
Student को किसी Recognized Indian University या Institute में Admission मिला होना चाहिए। Private Universities भी Eligible हैं अगर वो UGC Approved हों।
50% Seats लड़कियों के लिए Reserved
इस Scheme की खास बात ये है कि 50% Scholarships सिर्फ Female Students के लिए Reserved हैं। Government चाहती है कि ज्यादा से ज्यादा लड़कियां Higher Education के लिए India आएं।
हर Category में आधी Scholarships लड़कियों को मिलेंगी। अगर किसी Category में पर्याप्त Female Applicants नहीं हैं तो वो Seats Male Students को दी जा सकती हैं।
Ministry of External Affairs के Data के अनुसार, पिछले साल 60% से ज्यादा Scholarships Female Students को मिली थीं। ये एक अच्छा Trend है।
Application Process कैसे करें?
Application पूरी तरह Online है। India Culture Portal (www.indiaculture.gov.in) पर जाकर Registration करना होगा।
सबसे पहले Portal पर Account बनाएं। Email ID और Mobile Number Verify करें। Personal Details, Academic Details, Family Details सब भरें।
जरूरी Documents Upload करें – Passport Copy, Birth Certificate, Class 12 Marksheet (UG के लिए) या Graduation Marksheet (PG के लिए), Income Certificate, Admission Letter from Indian University।
OCI/PIO Card की Copy भी Upload करनी होगी। अगर NRI हैं तो Passport में Foreign Address का Proof चाहिए।
Selection Process क्या है?
Applications की Screening Ministry of External Affairs करती है। Academic Merit के आधार पर Shortlisting होती है। Top Scorers को Priority मिलती है।
Family Income भी Consider की जाती है। कम Income वाले Families के Students को Preference मिलती है। Diversity भी देखी जाती है – Different Countries और Different Courses के Students Select किए जाते हैं।
Final Selection List May-June 2026 में Announce होगी। Selected Students को Email और SMS से Inform किया जाएगा।
कौन से Courses Cover होते हैं?
लगभग सभी UG और PG Courses इस Scholarship में Cover हैं। Engineering, Medical, Management, Arts, Science, Commerce – सब Eligible हैं।
Popular Courses जिनमें ज्यादा Students Apply करते हैं: BTech (Computer Science, Mechanical, Electrical), MBBS और BDS, BBA और MBA, BA/MA (Economics, Political Science), BSc/MSc (Physics, Chemistry, Biology)।
Professional Courses जैसे Law (LLB), Architecture (BArch), Design (BDes) भी Eligible हैं। Diploma Courses Eligible नहीं हैं – सिर्फ Degree Courses के लिए Scholarship मिलती है।

Scholarship कब और कैसे मिलेगी?
Selection के बाद Scholarship Amount सीधे Student के Bank Account में Transfer होगी। DBT (Direct Benefit Transfer) System Use होता है।
पहली Installment Admission के समय मिलेगी। बाकी Amount Semester-wise या Yearly मिलेगी। Student को Regular Progress Reports Submit करनी होंगी।
अगर Student की Attendance कम है या Academic Performance खराब है तो Scholarship Cancel हो सकती है। Minimum 75% Attendance और 60% Marks Maintain करने होंगे।
