भारत की सबसे प्रतिष्ठित recruiting body Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) इन दिनों एक अजीब controversy में फंसी हुई है। UPSC CSE 2026 notification में 50 से ज्यादा spelling और grammatical errors मिलने के बाद aspirants और social media users ने Commission की quality control process पर सवाल उठाए हैं। यह मामला इतना viral हुआ कि UPSC को शुक्रवार 6 फरवरी को revised notification जारी करनी पड़ी।
4 फरवरी 2026 को जब UPSC ने Civil Services Examination (CSE) 2026 का official notification release किया तो किसी ने नहीं सोचा था कि यह document controversy का कारण बनेगा। 150 से ज्यादा pages के इस notification में candidates को shocking errors मिले जो अब social media पर viral हो रहे हैं।

50+ Errors की पूरी List
UPSC notification में मिली गलतियां सिर्फ एक-दो typos नहीं थीं बल्कि systematic errors थीं जो पूरे document में repeatedly appear हो रही थीं। सबसे ज्यादा shocking बात यह है कि basic words भी गलत spell किए गए थे।
“Examination” को “Examinaiton” लिखा गया था जो pages 2, 17 और 156 पर तीन बार appear हुआ। यह वह word है जो UPSC के लिए सबसे important है क्योंकि वे examinations conduct करते हैं। इस basic word में गलती होना candidates को समझ नहीं आया।
“Candidates” को “Cadidates” spell किया गया था जो चार अलग-अलग pages (1, 18, 24, 156) पर मिला। Interesting बात यह है कि same page पर correct spelling भी मौजूद थी, जो यह दर्शाता है कि proper proofreading नहीं की गई।
“Statutory” को “Statuary” लिखा गया था page 6 पर। यह एक legal term है जो government documents में बहुत important होता है। इस तरह की गलती legal implications भी create कर सकती है।
“Benchmark” को “Bechmark” spell किया गया। “Ago-based industries” जैसे odd phrases भी मिले जिनका कोई sense नहीं बनता। यहां तक कि “Kolkata” की spelling भी गलत थी कुछ जगहों पर।
Social Media पर Viral Controversy
जैसे ही notification release हुआ, alert aspirants ने इन errors को notice किया और social media पर screenshots share करने शुरू कर दिए। Twitter, Instagram और Telegram groups में यह topic trending होने लगा।
Candidates ने इसे “utter incompetence” करार दिया। कई aspirants ने कहा कि अगर वे अपने exam में ऐसी गलतियां करें तो marks काट लिए जाते हैं, लेकिन UPSC खुद ही इतनी careless है तो यह double standards नहीं है क्या?
एक aspirant ने tweet किया: “UPSC हमसे perfection की उम्मीद करता है लेकिन खुद की notification में 50+ errors हैं। यह कैसी quality control है?” यह tweet viral हो गया और हजारों retweets मिले।
कई candidates ने यह भी point out किया कि यह सिर्फ spelling errors का मामला नहीं है बल्कि यह UPSC की overall functioning पर सवाल उठाता है। अगर notification जैसे important document में इतनी लापरवाही हो सकती है तो exam conduct करने में कितनी accuracy होगी?
UPSC का Quick Response: Revised Notification
Controversy बढ़ते देख UPSC ने तुरंत action लिया। शुक्रवार 6 फरवरी को Commission ने revised notification upload किया जिसमें सभी errors को correct किया गया था। यह quick response UPSC की तरफ से damage control की कोशिश थी।
Revised notification में सभी spelling mistakes, grammatical errors और odd phrases को ठीक कर दिया गया। UPSC ने कोई official statement तो नहीं दिया लेकिन revised version upload करके indirectly accept किया कि original notification में problems थीं।
Aspirants ने इस quick action को appreciate किया लेकिन साथ ही यह भी कहा कि पहली बार में ही ऐसी गलतियां नहीं होनी चाहिए थीं। UPSC जैसी prestigious institution से ऐसी carelessness की उम्मीद नहीं की जाती।
Quality Control Process पर सवाल
यह incident UPSC की internal quality control process पर serious questions उठाता है। 150+ pages का एक official document कैसे इतनी errors के साथ release हो सकता है? क्या कोई proofreading नहीं की गई? क्या multiple levels पर review नहीं होता?
Normally, government documents multiple stages से गुजरते हैं – drafting, review, approval, final check। हर stage पर अलग-अलग officials check करते हैं। फिर भी इतनी सारी errors कैसे miss हो गईं, यह समझ से परे है।
कुछ experts का मानना है कि यह rushed job का result हो सकता है। शायद deadline pressure में document को properly review किए बिना release कर दिया गया। लेकिन UPSC जैसी body के लिए यह excuse acceptable नहीं है।
यह भी possible है कि document को multiple people ने अलग-अलग समय पर edit किया और final consolidation के time proper checking नहीं हुई। लेकिन यह भी poor coordination को दर्शाता है।
UPSC CSE 2026: Important Details
Controversy के बीच UPSC CSE 2026 की important details को भी समझना जरूरी है। Civil Services Examination 2026 के लिए approximately 933 vacancies हैं। यह India की सबसे prestigious exam है जिसके through IAS, IPS, IFS जैसी services में selection होता है।
Application window 4 February 2026 को खुली और 24 February 2026 शाम 6:00 बजे तक खुली रहेगी। Aspirants के पास लगभग 3 weeks का time है application submit करने के लिए।
Prelims exam tentatively May-June 2026 में conduct होगी। Mains exam September-October 2026 में होगी। Final interview/personality test December 2026 या January 2027 में होगा। Final result March-April 2027 में expected है।
No Correction Window: नया बदलाव
UPSC ने इस साल एक major change किया है जो aspirants के लिए बहुत important है। पहली बार UPSC ने application correction window को हटा दिया है। यानी एक बार application submit करने के बाद कोई correction नहीं कर सकते।
पहले UPSC application submission के बाद एक correction window provide करता था जिसमें candidates कुछ details modify कर सकते थे। लेकिन 2026 से यह facility नहीं है।
UPSC ने clearly कहा है: “Once the application is submitted and fee is paid, candidates cannot correct or modify the application later through a correction window.” यह departure from previous practices है।
इसलिए aspirants को बहुत carefully application fill करनी होगी। हर detail को multiple times verify करना होगा before final submission। कोई भी गलती बाद में correct नहीं हो सकती।
Ironically, UPSC खुद अपनी notification में 50+ errors कर रहा है लेकिन candidates को एक भी error की permission नहीं दे रहा। यह double standard aspirants को खटक रहा है।
Aspirants की Reactions और Concerns
Aspirants का कहना है कि अगर UPSC खुद इतनी careless है तो candidates से perfection की उम्मीद करना unfair है। कई aspirants ने demand की है कि correction window restore की जाए।
एक aspirant ने कहा: “UPSC ने 50 errors की, हमें एक भी error की permission नहीं। यह कैसा justice है?” यह sentiment social media पर widely shared हो रहा है।
कुछ aspirants worried हैं कि अगर notification में इतनी errors हैं तो exam paper में भी errors हो सकती हैं। पिछले years में भी कभी-कभी question papers में errors मिली हैं जिससे candidates को problem होती है।

2021 में result declaration में delay हुआ था और UPSC ने कोई proper explanation नहीं दी थी। Aspirants महीनों wait करते रहे बिना किसी clarity के।
हर बार aspirants protest करते हैं, social media पर outrage होता है, लेकिन UPSC की functioning में कोई significant improvement नहीं दिखता। यह systemic problem है जिसे address करने की जरूरत है।
What Should UPSC Do?
Experts का मानना है कि UPSC को अपनी internal processes को strengthen करना होगा। Proper quality control mechanisms implement करने होंगे ताकि ऐसी errors future में न हों।
